The most famous restaurant on Ambergris Caye is undoubtably, Elvi’s Kitchen.

From the humble beginnings of her Burger Isle take-out stand in 1974, Elvi Staines and her family have turned this delightful place into an International Gold Star Award winning establishment. Mrs. Elvia Staines, known as Doña Elvia, is the proud owner of Elvi’s Kitchen which has become one of the most popular and distinguished restaurants on Ambergris Caye. With their excellent seafood menu, their great service and wonderful ambiance, Elvi’s Kitchen has become a favorite among tourists and locals.

Awesome Local Food – Great food, and they had some really good tequila. They have an air conditioned section if you need to cool off,and the floor is sand.

Great lunch! Our group had the fried avocado with crab salad, Cilantro Lime Fish Tacos and the Belizean Fry Jack Tacos.. Great service and the food was delicious!
